OK, now I have a perfectly designed website ... how will people find it?

Website Search Engine Optimization Defined:

The process of updating the code which makes up the website and choosing targeted keyword phrases related to the company and the website, and ensuring that the site places well when those keywords are queried on search engines. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) involves the careful optimization of corporate web sites to increase their visibility in the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Inktomi and many others. It makes the difference between a web site that has very little visibility and one that will be seen and found by many people.

At YELLOW7 we like to compare sites with poor search engine rankings with poorly placed billboard advertising. For example, let's say you purchased billboard advertising, on a busy highway, with a huge tree blocking the billboard's message. Sure, you have a "sign" on a "busy highway" but nobody can see it. This is true with poorly optimized websites. Sure, you have a "sign" ( website ) on a "busy highway" ( The Internet ) but nobody can find it when they visit a search engine and type in your industry keywords.
